We are glad to announce that The Symposium on Resilience will take place from 23 to 24 October 2025 in Bucharest, Romania, hosted by the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Trauma (ISTT) in collaboration with Resilio – The International Association for the Promotion and Dissemination of Research on Resilience.
This in-person event brings together international experts, students, and practitioners from a range of disciplines – including psychology, psychiatry, education, and social work – to engage in two days of interdisciplinary dialogue and collaborative exchange. The symposium is dedicated to advancing understanding, sharing recent research findings, and exploring effective practices related to trauma, resilience, and psychosocial support.
In a world marked by diverse and evolving challenges – from personal and community-level adversities to broader social disruptions – this gathering offers a timely opportunity for reflection, co-construction of knowledge, and the development of practical, context-sensitive approaches to support resilience, mental health, and social recovery. We understand resilience in a broad and multidimensional sense, and we welcome participants whose work engages with different facets of resilience.
By mobilizing a diverse community of researchers, clinicians, students, and organizational actors from multiple, this symposium focused on resilience will create an inclusive platform for sharing insights, fostering collaboration, and promoting actionable practices that support both individual and collective well-being.
Participation fee – To attend the symposium, a registration fee will be required:
- €50 for Resilio members
- €60 for non-members
Lunch will be provided on October 23.
